My name is Morgan Kate and I own and operate my own Female Only Functional Training facility. My goal is to ignite the confidence in women, by enlightening them with their power and watching them personally and physically transform. I use fitness as my method and pull like minded women together. I am on a mission to change the way women do fitness. I am my own personal weight loss story and now sustainable weight loss success. It was 10 years ago I lost 65 lbs in pursuit of my best version of myself. It was in the journey I unleashed my passion and found my purpose on how to serve others.
How did you find the world of entrepreneurship? / Why did you start Morgan Kate Fitness?
I have worked in the Fitness Industry for many years. I was a personal trainer and acted as a Head Coach at a private training facility before stepping into my own space at Morgan Kate Fitness. It was during my late maternity leave that I decided to go on my own.
Becoming a Mom really fired me up. It was the first time I had no fear about what I needed to do. It was having my son that inspired me to pursue a life that would be best for me and best for my family. It was because of him I got a taste of what my best life could be like. Pair that with my oozing passion to help women. It seemed like a no brainer.
How would you define the word success?
Success to me is being able to do something you love every single day. It is about having peace in the work that offer others. It is about being truly happy with that work you serve out to the world.
What advice would you like to give to today’s women?
Stop worrying about what other people think and playing the comparison game. That time we waste measuring ourselves up to others or holding ourselves back, we will never get back. Stay in your own lane, be bold and go after whatever lights you up.
What do you love most about being apart of the Hamilton Community?
I was born and raised in Hamilton and my favourite part is the small town feel of this ever growing city. You can really get a sense of the community in this city.
Favourite Place in Hamilton?
Uh? Morgan Kate Fitness? J/K Although I am super proud of the community that has developed in my space. I would say though my favourite place in Hamilton is Locke Street. I always feel inspired there because of the small business owners there. I love seeing how the city has transformed.
