I’m not a morning person, I never have been. However, as I’ve gotten older the idea of being awake earlier to have more time to get ready and set a morning routine in place has become more appealing. I love the sunshine and how you can be more productive when you start your day off earlier! Becoming a morning person is something I’m trying to become the older I get.
The Morning Routine:
The first thing that happens in the morning to begin my day is my first alarm goes off. I set two alarms because after I hear the first one I immediately turn it off and try to sleep again. Once my second alarm goes off it’s time to get up or I will be late for the planned day. Because I’m a student every day is different. Some days are commuting and interning or commuting and school or work or running errands or I’m doing nothing.
Once I’m awake the first thing I do is pee because I haven’t in about eight hours. After that I do my morning skincare routine, brush my teeth, apply minimal makeup and try to do something nice to my hair (straight, waves, ponytail or messy bun it depends on how clean my hair is). Then I drink a glass of water to kick start my metabolism.
Pick an Outfit
After the skincare routine, I apply deodorant and get dressed! I am currently using my detox deodorant from kaia naturals and am on week ten of the detox. Learn more about the detox and how it benefits your body! To make my getting ready process easier I plan my outfits the night before.
Before I eat my breakfast I use the Saje Wellness Quick Study Mist (for mental alertness) or Saje Wellness Energy Mist (for revitalization). This just helps me to wake up a little more and they also smell amazing.
Next is Breakfast Time! I don’t have a big appetite in the morning so I only have a banana, a scoop of peanut butter and sometimes a Lara Bar. Random I know but it tastes good!
Usually while I eat I sit at my Laptop and check things, catch up on social media and reply to emails! Once I feel I’ve had enough computer time I get on with my day!
