I discovered Beautycounter and Kate, a Senior Beautycounter Manager on Instagram during an Encircled giveaway! She reached out to see if I wanted to try some Beautycounter products and learn more about the company. I of course said yes because I’m always looking for more new clean, green beauty products.
Beautycounter’s mission is to get safer products into the hands of everyone. I try my best to use natural products and for years now I have had a no-buy list of ingredients that I avoid at all costs. So, if a product contains them I won’t buy them. Beautycounter essentially takes out the groundwork to start shopping clean beauty. They have a ton of research and have a list of 1500 ingredients that refuse to use in their products. Bottom line is if you purchase something from Beautycounter you can guarantee that it is clean beauty and there is nothing in the products that will harm you.
I tried their basic skincare line which consists of 5 products; the nourishing cream cleanser, the nourishing cream exfoliator, the nourishing day cream, the nourishing eye cream and the nourishing night cream. I also got to try the charcoal cleansing bar which is perfect for my oily skin.
The Nourishing Line Review
Their basic nourishing skincare is suitable for any skin type. I have extremely oily and sensitive skin and none of the products irritated my skin or caused me to produce more oily than normal. First, the cream cleanser cleans your skin and doesn’t leave that tight squeaky clean feel. Next, the cream exfoliator is extremely gentle. I usually prefer a manual exfoliator that feel a little more abrasive on my skin because then I feel that it is actually working. The exfoliator feels nice on my skin but, it doesn’t feel like it is doing anything because it is so gentle. It is perfect to use everyday and for someone who likes a gentle exfoliant.
Next, the nourishing day cream is rich formula that adds a little bit of a glow to my skin. It doesn’t feel heavy or cause my skin to produce more oil. After I apply the day cream I apply the eye cream. I am only 20 but, you can never start preventing anti-aging too soon. The last product I tried is their nourishing night cream which is a great texture and hydrates your skin as you sleep.
Beautycounter Charcoal Cleansing Bar Review
I loved the charcoal cleansing bar. I have used other charcoal products and they are great for pulling toxins out our your skin/body. You experience a great detox using charcoal products.
Overall, I loved everything and Beautycounter has some great products. Check them out if you want to be more involved with clean and green beauty and follow Kate on Instagram for healthy lifestyle tips. Also, contact her if you have any questions about the Beautycounter Line.
