I switched to a more natural lifestyle a few years ago. I’ve been using 90% natural beauty products since high-school and I switched to a 100% fast-fashion free lifestyle over a year and half ago. Now, the next change I slowly want to make is shifting to a more sustainable and zero-waste way of living.
I think that this year’s #PlasticFreeJuly is a great time to start. Before heading into this journey I picked up a few things at my local sustainable store (it’s so cool that I can even say that! I hope everyone everywhere is able to say that in the future) The Pale Blue Dot on James Street North in Hamilton, Ontario. It’s located a few doors down from Green Bar, aka my favourite vegan food eatery in Hamilton. It’s safe to say that James Street North is my new favourite street downtown.
The Sustainable Haul
Here are the items I picked up from The Pale Blue Dot (You can browse/shop online as well as in store):
- Wool Dryer Ball x2
- Cotton Rounds x7
- Bamboo Straw
- Straw Cleaner
- Net Produce Bags x2
- Cotton String Bag (Market Bag – Long Handle)
- “The Pale Blue Dot” Organic Cotton Tote
