I decided to do the Fall 10 x 10 Challenge to help condense my wardrobe and see what I actually wear. Starting in February of this year I decided to be an ethical consumer and I intend to be. I stopped shopping from fast retailers and I’ve just started my ethical wardrobe. Next, I purged my closet of old clothes or clothes I had not worn in a long time and donated or tried to re-sell all my clothes. With that said a lot of the pieces in my closet are fast fashion bought in the past.
The point of buying ethical fashion is not to get rid of everything you have and buy all new ethical clothing items, it is to love what you wear and actually wear the clothes you own. Eventually my wardrobe will be all ethical items as I transition and buy new pieces to replace the fast fashion items.
My key to getting this Fall 10 x 10 capsule to work is by layering my Nudy Patooty Cropped Undershirt or my Nudy Patooty Signature Seamless Undershirt to keep my clothes sweat free and clean longer. Nudy Patooty lets me wear my clothes more than once before washing. This is helpful well working with a capsule as a only have a limited number of pieces to work with.
- 4 Tops
- 1 Top Layer
- 2 Pairs of Pants
- 1 Dress
- 2 Pairs of Shoes
- Accessories, Handbags and Jewellery don’t count
Another great blogger I follow is Caroline Joy Rector from Un-fancy. Her blog focuses on mindful style and wearing and styling seasonal capsule wardrobes. Her and Lee from Style Bee often collaborate every season to share their 10 x 10 creations.
Over the next three months, which I like to consider the Fall season, I will be sharing my outfit combinations with these 10 pieces:
The 10 x 10 Challenge Items
Garage Relaxed Fit Grey Sweater
Halston Beige Long Cardigan
Dynamite Dark Blue Denim Jeans
Guess Taupe Booties
Garage Flip Flops
We welcome you to share your thoughts about the Fall 10 x 10 Challenge and if you’ve ever done it or are considering doing it in the comments below. We would love to start a conversation with you!
Peace and Love,
